MALECÓN 101 nace de las raíces de su directora Madelin Espinosa, criada en un emblemático edificio frente al mar en el Malecón de La Habana, donde su padre percusionista y su madre bailarina la iniciaron en la música y la danza. Ese edificio era escenario de visitas de grandes artistas y de espontáneas ""descargas"" —fiestas donde se canta, se toca y se baila— que inspiran la esencia del proyecto.
MALECÓN 101 es un homenaje a la música cubana: un viaje por el son, el danzón, el bolero, el cha cha chá, la guaracha y la rumba, enriquecido con artistas invitados que aportan su toque personal.

La formación: cuatro músicas y una bailarina.
